Vesting of powers of Settlement Commissioner.- The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, invest the Collector within the limits of his jurisdiction, or an officer above the rank of a Consolidation Officer either generally or in respect of any specified local area, with all or any of the powers of the Settlement Commissioner under this Act.]
