(1) Where it is expedient to do so, the State Government may, in the public interest and in consultation with the Public Analyst, by notification in the Official Gazette, omit any entry from the Schedule or add any entry thereto or amend any such entry and the Schedule shall, on the issue of such notification, be deemed to be so amended. (2) Every notification issued under sub-section (1) shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before each House of the State Legislature.
