Nothing contained in this Act shall affect,- (1) any obligation or liability already incurred under an incident of an alienation before the date on which this Act comes into force, or (2) any proceeding or remedy in respect of such obligation or liability, and any such proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced as if this Act had not been passed.
