(1) This Act may be called 1[the Maharashtra Lotteries (Control and Tax) and Prize Competitions (Tax) Act.] (2) It extends to the whole of the 2[State of Maharashtra.] (3) It shall come into force on such date3 as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
