(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation Act, 1996. (2) It shall extend to the Krishna River Valley in the State of Maharashtra and such other area or areas, as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 25th January, 1996.
