(1) This Act may be called 1[the Maharashtra Kauli and Katuban Tenures (Abolition) Act]. (2) It extends to the districts of Kolaba, Kolhapur and Ratnagiri in the State of Bombay. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Offical Gazette, direct.
