(1) This Act may be called the 1[Maharashtra Inferior Village Watans Abolition Act.] (2) It extends to the 2[Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra] and to the Hyderabad area of the State of Bombay. (3) This section shall come into force at once. (4) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in such local area3and on such date4 as may be specified in the notification.
