(1) This Act may be called the Bombay Rationing (Preparatory and Continuance) Measures Act, 1947. (2) It extends to the whole of the 1[Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra.] (3) The Provincial Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that it shall come into force in any area on such date as may be specified in the notification.
