23Power to State Government to exempt
1[23. Power to State Government to exempt. --The 2[State Government] may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt any carriage or class of carriages from all or any of the provisions of this Act.]

1. Sections 22 and 23 added by Act 1 of 1898, s. 5. The section 22 regarding the commencement of this Act as originally passed had been rep. by Act 14 of 1870, s. 1 and the Schedule Part II.
