5Sumptuary allowance to Ministers
1[2[5. Sumptuary allowance to Ministers.There shall be paid a sumptuary allowance to each Minister at the following rates, namely:--
(a) the Prime Minister Rupees three thousand per mensem;
(b) every other Minister who is a member of the Cabinet Rupees two thousand per mensem;
(c) a Minister of State Rupees one thousand per mensem;
(d) a Deputy Minister Rupees six hundred per mensem.]
3[(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the sumptuary allowance payable to each Minister under that sub-section shall be reduced by thirty per cent. for a period of one year commencing from the 1st April, 2020, to meet the exigencies arising out of Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.]]
