21Power of Central Government and administering authority to issue directions
The permittee, licensee or lessee shall comply with such directions as the Central Government or the administering authority may issue, from time to time, for the conservation and systematic development of offshore minerals, prevention of pollution, protection of marine environment, prevention of coastal erosion or prevention of danger to life or property including the marine life.
(2) The permittee, licensee or lessee shall comply with such directions as may be issued from time to time by the competent authority or Coast Guard regarding national security, safety and national integrity.
Explanation.--"competent authority" means the competent authority appointed for the purposes of sub-section (2) by the Central Government in the Ministry dealing with defence of India.
