50Application and account of hospital port-dues
(1) Hospital port-dues shall be applied, as the 1[Central Government] may direct, to the support of any such hospital or dispensary as aforesaid, or otherwise for providing sanitary superintendence and medical aid for the shipping in the port in which they are levied and for the seamen belonging to the vessels therein, whether such seamen arc ashore or afloat.
(2) The 1[Central Government] shall publish annually in the Official Gazette, as soon after the first day of April as may be, an account, for the past financial year, of the sums received as hospital port-dues at each port where such dues arc payable, and of the expenditure charged against those receipts.
(3) Such account shall be published as a supplement to the abstract published under section 36, sub-section (2).
