36Legal proceedings.

If, at the commencement of this Act, any suit, appeal or other proceeding of whatever nature is pending by or against the existing University, the same shall not abate, be discontinued or be in any way prejudicially affected by reason of the dissolution of the existing University, but the suit, appeal or other proceeding may be continued, prosecuted or enforced by or against--
(a) the Haryana Agricultural University, if it relates to any property or unit of the existing University in the State of Haryana; and
(b) in any other case, the Punjab Agricultural University.
