6Power for Central Government to prohibit the manufacture, possession or importation of specially dangerous explosives

(1) Notwithstanding anything in the rules under the last foregoing section, the Central Government may, from time to time, by notification in the Official Gazette,--

(a) prohibit, either absolutely or subject to conditions, the manufacture, possession or importation of any explosive which is of so dangerous a character that, in the opinion of the Central Government, it is expedient for the public safety to issue the notification. 1***.

3[(2) The Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) shall have effect in relation to any explosive with regard to the importation of which a notification has been issued under this section and the vessel, carriage or aircraft containing such explosive as that Act has in relation to any article the importance of which is prohibited or regulated thereunder and the vessel, carriage or aircraft containing such article.
