(1) The Essential Services Maintenance (Assam) Ordinance, 1980 (2 of
1980), is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be
deemed to have been done or taken under this Act, as if this Act had come into force on the 6th day of
April, 1980.
