The Chemical Weapons Convention Act

1Short title, extent, application and commencement

This Act may be called the Chemical Weapons Convention Act, 2000.

(2) It extends to the whole of India, and it shall apply to--

(a) citizens of India outside India; and

(b) associates, branches or subsidiaries, outside India of companies or bodies corporate, registered or incorporated in India.

(3) It shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
