(1) This Act may be called the Armed Forces (Punjab
and Chandigarh) Special Powers Act, 1983.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab and the Union territory of Chandigarh.
(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of October, 1983.
