Meghalaya Private Universities (Regulation of Establishment and Maintenance of Standards) Act, 2019 (Act No. 13 of 2019)

An Act to provide for regulation of Private Universities in the State and for matters connected therewith. Whereas the Meghalaya Private Universities (Regulation of Establishment and Maintenance of Standard) Act, 2012 (Act No.8 of 2012), though in place, requires to be repealed and a new law be put in place for regulating the Private Universities and to ensure conformity with the observations of the Supreme Court in Prof. Yashpal versus State of Chhattisgarh and others.
